Leominster Meeting Centre
Who are we?
Established in 2016, we are a charitable organisation that operates independently of government funding, relying solely on donations and fundraising efforts.
Our centre serves as a secure meeting space for adults living with dementia, while also providing support to their caregivers through peer support groups and group counselling sessions. We offer a variety of engaging activities, including cookery, crafts, poetry reading, sewing, drama, gardening, music, walks, dining outings, and bowling, all facilitated by our dedicated staff and volunteers.
We strive to foster an environment that encourages our members to retain existing skills and acquire new ones, all within a friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere. Our monthly schedule is developed in collaboration with our members, reflecting their interests and preferences.
The primary objective of the centre is to create opportunities for participants to engage in activities that promote cognitive engagement, memory utilisation

, and social interaction. We provide cognitive stimulation therapy (CST), which has been shown to enhance the memory and cognitive abilities of individuals with mild to moderate dementia.
We kindly request our wonderful supporters to like and share this post to help us spread the word! We are excited to welcome new members in 2025
If you know someone living with mild to moderate dementia, please encourage them to visit us for coffee and conversation.
